Cottage Gardening with the Tudor Family
Interested in learning how to make a garden like Tasha’s? Join this special cottage gardening event and spend some hands-on time learning from Marjorie, Winslow, Amy and Head-gardener, Jenna; all of whom often gardened with Tasha. Bring your gloves or sink your bare hands into Tasha's rich garden soil as we teach you spring care techniques and more. A magnificent feature of this event will be the guided tour of Tasha's revered barn, outdoor hall, dairy, hen pantry and even a small portion of Tasha's home. Come and see the beautiful kitchen, where so many delightful tea parties took place. Want a preview? Look at her Hearth and Home cards; they're a true depiction.
That's not all. You'll also be guided through the magical Tudor forests, up the stone staircase and into Amy and Winslow's garden, before continuing on to Marjorie's garden and Seth's woodworking workshop. Mid-way through the day, the groups will come back together for a picnic lunch in Tasha's garden. After two more workshops, we finish the day with afternoon tea at the Rookery. The Rookery Gift Shop featuring books, prints, cards, tea, videos, furniture, rare books and much more, will be open at the beginning and end of the day. As you might imagine, tickets are very limited.
Cottage Gardening with the Tudor Family involves two to four hours of garden work, two walking tours and is intended as a hands-on educational retreat. You must be physically fit and be able to navigate uneven ground in the gardens and uneven ground with roots and rocks through the woods. If you would like a more relaxed visit, we recommend the Secret Gardens of Tasha Tudor and Family tours. Please bring gloves, garden shoes, sunhats and anything else you normally wear while gardening. Country restrooms (also known as outhouses) available at Tasha's and the Rookery. Rain, shine or extreme heat, the event will go on as scheduled.
Due to the private nature of the Tudor Family, cameras will not be allowed on the tour. However, we will take a group photo in Tasha's garden and mail copies a few weeks after the tour. You are welcome to take photographs at the Rookery.

Cancellation Policy: Any cancellations made sixty days prior to tour date will be refunded minus a processing fee of $25. Any cancellations within sixty days of the tours will be refunded minus the processing fee if that ticket is resold. We reserve the right to cancel tours due to unforeseen circumstances and extreme forces of nature.
