Settle Chair, Full Size
The full-size original chair can be seen in several Richard Brown Photos of Tasha Tudor's fireplace. (Private World of Tasha Tudor p.107, Tasha Tudor's Garden p.33)

This Reproduction chair has sides made of special, 15/16" x 16" wide pine boards from trees grown on the Tudor property. Like the original, it is 44" high, 22" wide, projects out 18" when back top touches a wall, has 14" seat height and 13" seat depth. The open space underneath is a favorite lair for Corgis, we have found. Some people like a pillow on the low seat.   Settle Chair pillows sold separately.

If you are in the vicinity of Marlboro, Vermont you can purchase and pick up a Settle Chair (please e-mail for availability and appointment) at our office for $165.00 unfinished, $180.00 stained, and $200.00 painted.

Because its size exceeds shipping limits, the Settle Chair is dismantled and packed in a 5"x18"x48" wooden box, for a shipping and handling charge of $65.00 in the U.S. Please note that painted chairs do not come apart well, and a freshly stained chair can not be shipped for a week or two, because of regulations on volatile fumes in transit. 

Re-assembly is easy, and requires #1 and #2 square drive screwdrivers available in any hardware store. If you prefer, the screwdrivers can be enclosed in shipping box for $4.00 each.
