About the Society
Mission Statement
To inspire and connect people through the world created by author, illustrator and early American lifestyle icon, Tasha Tudor.
Organizational History
This organization was founded in 2006 by Tasha’s grand-daughter-in-law, Amy Tudor and it received federal exempt status in 2007, six months before Tasha passed away. Tasha was pleased that her family founded an organization to preserve and celebrate her lifetime of work and joy.
From 2007- 2010, charter members donated over $123,000 and the organization (originally known as the Tasha Tudor Museum) opened an exhibition space in West Brattleboro, Vermont.
From 2009-2016, the organization created a new exhibit each summer and welcomed guests from around the world.
In 2017, the Tasha Tudor Society revised its direction and closed the exhibit space. In its place, we are growing the Society Chapters, producing our award-winning printed Journal of the Tasha Tudor Society, and developing new programs to reach a wider audience.
