  • Corgiville Fair

One of Tasha's most beloved books, this is the first in the magical and imaginative Corigville series. The fair is the highlight of the year!

In Corgiville, as in many small towns all over America, the biggest event of the year is the fair. The sights, sounds, smells, and all the fun and excitement of a typical small-town fair are captured with humor and affection both in the text and in the marvelously detailed watercolor paintings. Tasha Tudor has woven a highly imaginative story from various themes and events of her life, including a peculiar Swedish troll species known as boggarts, which seem to be imbued with slightly naughty characteristics. Though written for children, adults seem unable to resist the charm of Corgiville, and it has enthralled families for generations. Originally printed in 1971, this is the early 2000 reprint.
